The materials we work in, the processes we run, and how a job gets finished. If what you need isn't listed, ask — the answer is usually yes, or we'll tell you who to call.

01 — Materials

Steel, stainless and aluminium — plate through to section.

We normally supply material as part of the quote, which keeps price and lead time in one place. If you've already got steel on site, we're happy to work with it.

02 — Welding

The right process for the material and the position.

MIG for speed and volume, TIG where the weld will be seen or the material is thin, stick for site work and heavy section. Most jobs use more than one.

  • MIG / GMAW. Structural and general fabrication in mild steel, plus aluminium and stainless with the right wire and gas.
  • TIG / GTAW. Stainless, aluminium and thin-gauge work where the weld is visible or needs to be clean enough for food-grade use.
  • Stick / MMAW. Site work, heavy section, dirty or galvanised material, and outdoor conditions where shielding gas won't hold.
  • Structural welding to the requirements of AS/NZS 1554 where the specification calls for it.

03–05 — Shop processes

Cut, formed and finished in-house.

Fewer hand-offs means fewer delays and one place to ring when something changes.

Cutting

Plasma cutting for plate and profile, oxy for heavy section, and cold saw for clean square cuts and mitres in tube and bar.

Forming & machining

Folding, rolling, punching, drilling and tapping — so plates and brackets turn up ready to bolt, not ready to be fettled on site.

Finishing & coating

Grinding, weld dressing, linishing and polishing in-house. Hot-dip galvanising, powder coating and painting arranged through local coaters and quoted as part of the job.

Delivery & install

Delivered to site on the agreed day, or installed by the same crew that fabricated it. Site measures taken before anything is cut.

06 — Drawings & files

Send it however you've got it.

A napkin sketch and a set of engineer's shop details are both fine starting points. What matters is that we understand the sizes and where it's going.

Paperwork

Available on request — ask when you book and we'll have it ready before the induction.

Insurance

Public liability cover in place; certificate of currency supplied on request for site inductions and builder paperwork.

Welding standards

Structural welding carried out to the requirements of AS/NZS 1554 where the job specification calls for it.

Site safety

Construction induction cards, SWMS and hot-work permits handled for on-site work. Tell us the site requirements when you book.

Material certification

Mill certificates and material traceability available where the job requires it — flag it at quote stage so we source accordingly.
