What we fabricate

Structural work that carries load, architectural work that has to look right, and the repairs nobody else wants to take on. Workshop in Clayton, on-site across Melbourne.

01 — Structural steel

Steel that has to carry load, made to the engineer's details.

Beams, columns, posts, lintels, base plates and cleats — fabricated from your structural drawings, drilled and prepared so it bolts up on site without a grinder in hand.

  • Universal beams & columns
  • Lintels & goal posts
  • Base plates & cleats
  • Posts & stanchions
  • Mezzanine & platform frames
  • Bracing & connections
  • Purlins & support steel
  • Delivery to site
Fabricated to your engineer's drawings — we don't guess at sizing

02 — Balustrades, handrails & stairs

Measured on site, so it fits the opening you actually have.

Steel and stainless balustrade, handrail and stair stringers for decks, landings, voids and commercial walkways — fabricated in the shop and installed by the same crew.

  • Balustrade & infill panels
  • Round & flat handrail
  • Stair stringers
  • Glass-channel & spigot posts
  • Wire & rod infill
  • Pool-area balustrade
  • Commercial walkway rail
  • Site measure & install

Balustrade and barrier heights are governed by the National Construction Code — tell us the application and we'll fabricate to the requirement.

03 — On-site & mobile welding

When the job can't come to the workshop.

Structural steel already erected, plant that can't be pulled down, a handrail that has to be modified in place — we load the truck and come to you, anywhere in Melbourne metro.

  • In-situ structural welding
  • Modifications to existing steel
  • Emergency & breakdown repairs
  • Cutting & removal
  • Site measure & template
  • Install of shop-fabricated work
  • Factory & plant maintenance
  • After-hours by arrangement

Welding repairs

Cracked, worn, bent or snapped. Mild steel, stainless, aluminium and cast iron — including the awkward repairs other shops turn away. Bring it in, or we'll come out to it.

  • Cracks
  • Wear & build-up
  • Cast iron
  • Aluminium
  • Straightening

Architectural metalwork

Privacy screens, decorative panels, planter boxes, awning and pergola frames, feature steel and the one-off pieces designers specify but nobody stocks.

  • Screens
  • Planters
  • Awning frames
  • Feature steel

Stainless fabrication

304 and 316 work for commercial kitchens, food processing and wet areas — benches, splashbacks, shelving, trolleys and hygienic frames. TIG welded and finished properly.

  • 304 / 316
  • Benches
  • Splashbacks
  • Food grade

Gates, fencing & security

Driveway and pedestrian gates, pool-compliant fencing, security grilles, window bars and bollards — built to suit the opening rather than forced to fit a stock size.

  • Gates
  • Fencing

  • Bollards

Trailers, plant & machinery

Trailer repairs and modifications, drawbars, tray work, machine guarding, frames, brackets and wear parts for production and earthmoving equipment.

  • Trailers
  • Guarding
  • Frames
  • Wear parts

Custom & one-off work

The job that doesn't fit a category — prototypes, jigs, frames, brackets, short production runs. Bring a drawing, a photo or a sketch and we'll work out how to make it.

  • Prototypes
  • Jigs
  • Short runs

How a job runs

Drawing to delivery.

01

Send it through

Engineer's drawings, a DXF, a photo or a sketch — anything showing what you need and roughly how big.

02

Quote & site check

Firm price and lead time in writing, same business day. If it fits something existing, we measure it first.

03

Fabricated

Cut, welded, dressed and drilled. You get a call if we hit anything the drawing didn't show.

04

Delivered or installed

To site on the agreed day, or installed by us and handed over finished.

Service questions

Before you ask.

No. One bracket, one gate or one cracked drawbar is a normal job. There's a minimum charge for callouts and site work, which we'll tell you up front when you ring.

Melbourne metro as standard. Regional Victoria is possible for larger jobs — ask and we'll tell you honestly whether it's worth the travel or whether you're better off with someone local.

Yes, and we prefer to. One trade responsible for measuring, making and fitting means nothing falls through the gap between fabricator and installer. If you'd rather install it yourself that's fine too.

Structural welding is carried out to the requirements of AS/NZS 1554 where the job calls for it. Tell us what the specification requires and we'll confirm we can meet it before you commit.

Yes — public liability cover is in place, and certificates of currency are available on request for site inductions and builder paperwork.

Tell us about the job.

Free quotes, same business day. Drawings, photos and rough sketches all welcome.
